The last few months: workshops, one to one and Fujifilm photowalks | Daniel Rodrigues

These last few months were good ones. Workshops in Porto, Lisbon and Morocco, several one-to-ones here in Porto, the Fujifilm photowalks and talks at schools and universities. People who showed up to actually photograph, and that changes everything.

What stays with me isn't the teaching so much as watching people move. Someone who arrived afraid to point a camera at a stranger, and by the last day was working a scene without thinking about it. That's the part I care about.

The talks were a different kind of room. Standing in front of students, showing the work and how it actually gets made, the mistakes as much as the frames that worked. There's something worth doing in that, putting the real process in front of people who are still deciding what kind of photographer they want to be.
