This June, for several days, I followed the people of Bica. I joined them during rehearsals, behind-the-scenes preparations, the setup of the arraial, and all the small moments leading up to Lisbon's Popular Marches during the Santo António festivities.
This work was produced for a project with Xiaomi, as part of the launch of the Xiaomi Ultra 15.
In this project, I had the privilege of guiding a group of children through the art of photography, empowering them to document their neighborhood — its people, stories, and challenges — through their own eyes.
The Azor Hotel in Ponta Delgada is hosting my exhibition “O olhar do Mundo”, featuring a selection of photographs from over a decade of my documentary work across Africa, Asia, Europe, and the Middle East.
