I had the opportunity to spend two days in Galicia, at Oliver Laxe’s home, photographing him in an intimate and personal setting. The work was commissioned and published by Télérama as part of a feature profile on the filmmaker, following the release of his new film Sirāt.

Sirāt premiered in the Official Competition at the 2025 Cannes Film Festival, where it was awarded the Jury Prize. The film follows a father and son on a journey through the Moroccan desert in search of their missing daughter and sister, blending themes of grief, human fragility, music and spirituality in a raw, poetic style.
