Cape Town to Nairobi

In 2023, I cycled from Cape Town to Nairobi on an electric bicycle, travelling over 6,000 kilometres through South Africa, Namibia, Botswana, Zimbabwe, Zambia, Malawi, Rwanda, Tanzania, and Kenya.
 

I travelled alone, photographing the places and people I met along the route.
 

This project was supported by EDP, ActivoBank, Beeq, Fujifilm Portugal and Mbit. The journey included meetings, long stretches alone, breakdowns and help from people along the way. It gave me time to learn more about the places I passed through and the people who live there.
